In the presence of Mme. Corinne Cahen, Minister for Families, Integration and the Grand Region and patron of the Lëtzebuerg National Diversity Charter, Sales-Lentz Marketing Director, M. Mike Van Kauvenbergh signed the Luxembourg Charter on 27th May, 2014.
This signing marks the success of the Lëtzebuerg Diversity Charter with Luxembourg companies who have expressed a willingness to act in demonstrating, respecting and promoting the application of the principle of non-discrimination. Adopted by our company, it also bears witness to our commitment to cultural, ethnic and social diversity within our organisation. Such an approach contributes to our efficiency and the quality of our CSR (corporate social responsibility).
Launched in 2012, under the patronage of the General Directorate for European Justice and comprising six articles, the Charter is a text of commitment which may be signed by any company, irrespective of size, which condemns discrimination in employment and chooses to work towards diversity. Today, with the 25 signatories who signed on the 27th May, it brings together nearly 100 businesses in the Grand Duchy. The National Diversity Charter has aroused interest from a number of European countries, including France, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Poland and Italy.
