Great news for SkyTeam passengers traveling to Italy on an intercontinental round-trip ticket! SkyTeam will soon offer an Italy Pass, enabling passengers to benefit from discounted flights when traveling within Italy on Alitalia and AirOne. The Italy Pass will be sold outside of Italy and Europe and will require a minimum purchase of only three flight coupons. Prices will range from 41US$ to 68US$ for each coupon.

Ryanair removes the airport check-in desk

From now only online Check-In is available (from 15 days up to 4 hours before the scheduled flight departure time). Low-cost carrier Ryanair is introducing a €40 charge for passengers who arrive at the airport without their boarding passes!
Advanced Passenger Information UK // Requirements from 28th May 2009
The United Kingdom Government aims to use IT to strengthen border control to effectively record passenger data by rolling out the requirement for Advanced Passenger Information (API) as they travel out and into the UK, and thus improve safety and security.
Information required by your travel agent before travelling into and out of the UK:
- Type of travel document (passport or national identity card)
- Full name (given names as on passport or national identity card)
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Travel document number and expiry date
- Country of travel document issuance
- Country of residence

At your service in the City Air Terminal are four check-in counters as well as five automatic machines for the check in of hand luggage. The City Air Terminal in the heart of Vienna offers you all the services of an international airport, such as check-in and a Star Alliance service centre.
You must present your valid CAT ticket when you check in.
You can check in your luggage up to 75 minutes prior to departure or the night before your flight. Check in, deposit your baggage, and receive your boarding card.
