British Airways offers triple miles
British Airways is currently offering triple miles for flights taken in its First and Club World cabins to destinations including Chicago, Hong Kong, Bangalore and Dubai.
The promotion is valid on a total of 18 routes from London Heathrow, for flights taken before September 10. Examples include 89,688 miles for a First flight to Hong Kong (usually 29,896), 60,642 miles for a Club World flight to Beijing (usually 20,214), and 60,000 miles for a Club World flight to Bangalore (usually 20,000).
Continental sets date to join Star
Continental Airlines will join the Star Alliance on October 27. Its last flight with its current alliance, SkyTeam will be on October 24. It will be the 22nd member of what is the world's largest airline alliance.
Continental's OnePass members do not need to make any changes to their OnePass accounts. You will continue to utilize their mileage as normal. Mileage balances will not be affected by the transition.
Through Oct. 24, 2009, OnePass members can continue to earn and redeem miles and make reward reservations on SkyTeam partners.
When the transition to Star Alliance occurs on Oct. 27, 2009, OnePass members will begin earning base miles and Elite Qualification Miles/Points and be able to redeem miles on Star Alliance airlines.

Air France to launch A380 on November 26
You can now book tickets for the carrier’s forthcoming A380 service, which will commence on November 26 from Paris CDG to New York at 1330 (arrival local time : 1545).
On board the A380, there will be three cabin classes for a total of 538 passengers:
- 80 seats in the Affaires cabin and 106 in Voyageur (economy) on the upper deck
- 9 in the Première cabin and 343 in Voyageur on the main deck.
Equipped with four GP7200 engines, the Air France A380 will carry 538 passengers over a maximum distance of 13,000 kms. Among the new-generation aircraft, the A380 has one of the lowest fuel consumption rates per passenger.
Air France has 12 Airbus A380s on order, four of which will start operating in winter 2009 and spring 2010.
